Background Story
In honour of their first birthday, employees from both L-Brain Sidework and R-Brain Hardwork got together to host a barbecue. Somewhere along the way, someone had the bright idea to bring along some Fireboxes. As these produce noise, and noise attracts zombies, this person wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. It was probably someone from accounting.
Luckily, before the first one could be lit, that person was stopped. All was well and good, except for the extreme surplus of Fireboxes lying around and a fuming employee.
To burn through the supply, these were put on sale until further notice.
Months later, many complaints flooded in because of the possibility of a Firebox exploding, causing severe injury, if not death. It is still on sale, despite the stream of hate. Use with caution.
Tips
- The explosion will also damage and trip people around you (includes survivors in PvP modes such as Free For All), so if you want to celebrate, make sure to not use it near people.
- However, it is better just to trip the enemy with weapons such as the Rambo Knife or Baseball Bat.
- If you really need an explosive on hand, the Grenade is suitable for this.
- This has a 10% chance of exploding when firing. If you're unlucky this will explode, dealing 400 damage, unless you have the Flakvest, in which case you will lose only 80 health.
- Shooting at the box, once dropped, will not detonate it.
- If you use it correctly, you can use this to build up to get to higher ground.
- Be warned that if the Firebox explodes, you have to restart building, if you are still alive.
