Tech Shockley is a character featured in Quake IV. He is a member of Viper Squad in the Space Marine Corps and participates in the Second Invasion of Stroggos.

Second Invasion of Stroggos
Shockley is encountered in the Data Storage Tower when Corporal Kane leaves his Drop Pod. Shockley executes a Grunt and then asks if Kane is alright because he saw the Drop Pod came in pretty hard. The two Marines then try to link up with an officer to continue their mission while fighting their way through a few rooms with Strogg. He may be killed along the way, but if he survives, he will take up a defensive position where Kane jumps on a pipe to cut through the building to another corridor, probably because the NPC AI is not programmed to jump over obstacles, meaning there is no way for Shockley to follow Kane even if he wanted to.
