Jackdaw (ジャックドー Jakkudoo) is a member of the Peacebreakers, a foreign terrorist organization affiliated with Bifrost. In Psycho-Pass 3, he is hired by Koichi Azusawa to carry out parts of Azusawa's plan to take down the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal Investigation Department via an all-out attack on the MWPSB HQ.[1]
Appearance
Jackdaw is a male of average height and strong build who appears to be in his 50's. He has dark-irised eyes, gray eyebrows, hair and matching boxed beard. He is typically seen wearing a khaki green military jacket, black sleeveless tee-shirt and black pants.[2] He is nearly always featured with a weapon in hand.[2][3][1][4]
Personality
As a mercenary, he is trained to follow orders without question as long as he gets paid. He kills without remorse and is relentless in the pursuit of his goals.
Personal Background
- At some point in time, Jackdaw joins the Peacebreaker organization and begins working as a mercenary. During this time, he trains several recruits who are later killed by Shinya Kogami.
- Between 2117 and 2120, the organization is broken up by the MFA Operations Department. Bitter about the action, he and his partner, Vixen, decide to take up the name Pathfinders and to ally themselves with Azusawa in order to seek revenge against the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Relationships
Vixen
Vixen is Jackdaw's partner. They both belong to the same organization and both share in the desire for revenge against the MFA's Suppressing Action Department (made up of former Division 1 members).[2]
Koichi Azusawa
Azusawa is Jackdaw's latest employer. They share a professional relationship but it's unclear if they have met at all.
Trivia
- His code name during the attack on the MWPSB Headquarters Building is "Mouse 2",[5] a reference to the mice in E.T.A. Hoffmann's "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King".
