Eiko Sakagami (坂上 栄子Sakagami Eiko) is a supporting character in PriPara. She can sometimes be seen in the crowd during the performances of Laala Manaka and Mirei Minami. Her preferred brand is technically unknown, but her candy hair barrette, pop-style clothing, and perky attitude suggest that her brand may be Candy Alamode. Her casual coord in PriPara is the Fruit Cocktail Coord.
Appearance
Eiko has shoulder-length slightly-curled red hair that has a yellow and white striped candy hairpin and pine green eyes. Like Sophy Hojo, her PriPara appearance is similar to her normal appearance.
Her school uniform consists of a pale blue shirt with a white collar, navy blue bow, and white skirt.
When playing tennis, she wears her hair in a high ponytail, with long, fluffy forelocks framing her face. She wears an orange tennis skirt and a white tank top with orange details, and a small green emblem on the upper right side. She also sports a pair of white sweatbands with a green stripe along the top.
Personality
Eiko is a kind and emotional girl who can become easily attached towards others and befriend them; even going as far as to pledge herself to be Laala Manaka's number one fan just shortly after her debut, but she can be easily discouraged.
Relationships
- Laala Manaka - Eiko is Laala's first fan who apparently gets energized when she hears Laala sing.
- Love Tochiotome - They became friends after their tennis match and they often practice together.
Etymology
- The name Eiko means "flourish, prosperity, honor, glory, splendor." (栄) (ei) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Eiko's surname Sakagami means "slope" (坂) (saka) and "above, top, upper" (上) (kami/gami).
Trivia
- Eiko is the third red-head in the Pretty Rhythm/PriPara franchise, following Aira Harune and Bell Renjouji.
- Eiko was the first idol in PriPara that didn't go to school at Paprika Private Academy.
- Eiko is the first idol to share the same brand with a main character.
- Eiko also seems to be very knowledgeable about Gloria Ookanda, seeing as she knew that Gloria could not get into within 100 meters of a PriPara entrance.
- Eiko and her friends resemble MARs.
- Her along with Rei Ando, and Mimiko have unused CG models
