Lula was a former member of a tribe of primitive witches.
Appearance
Lula resembles an elderly dwarf woman with gray skin, pale hair with large, black eyes and a ragged dress. In the past, she had wooden antlers.
Personality
When introduced, Lula appears depressed as she does not participate in the ritual where her leader drains a man of his life energy to create a baby girl and did not beg for the child to be given to her.
She initially displayed a cold ruthlessness in capturing Fang, placing her under mind-control, and a detached coldness towards Spear. However, she was baffled when it became apparent both Spear and Fang had a bond, and was curious enough to use her magic to learn why. Upon seeing how both of them had lost their children, Lula expressed empathy for them, and her reflecting on how she lost her own child revealed she understood their pain, revealing the reason she did not beg her leader for a child was that Lula still mourned for her daughter and perhaps felt she did not deserve another child for her lack of vigilance in failing to keep her daughter safe.
Although she sympathized with Spear and Fang, she initially meant to remain loyal to her coven until she was reminded again of her daughter by a butterfly, and ultimately chose to betray her coven and her leader to save Spear and Fang.
She made no resistance to defend herself after she had succeeded and died at the jaws of her leader, though Lula was overjoyed to be reunited with her daughter in the afterlife, representing how she had found peace.
History
Lula once was given a baby daughter from her leader to care for and raise. Lula was very caring and protective of her child, showing so much love to her. When her baby was a child, Lula was picking out flowers while her daughter plays in the field chasing butterflies from a far distance. When Lula heard her daughter scream and couldn't find her, she went after her and found her dead from falling off a cliff. Lula was devastated by seeing the deceased body of her only child.
Years later, Lula was still in mourning over her dead child, suffering from continuing the ritual of creating infant daughters from sacrificed men and not begging for one. She and her coven discover Spear and Fang spying on the ritual. The witches chased Spear while Lula came after Fang and mind-controlled her. After Spear was captured, Lula used Fang as her mount to move around faster. When Spear urged Fang to fight the spell and she struggled to do so, Lula began to wonder why. Stopping time to concentrate, Lula opened a portal into Fang and Spear's minds to examine their memories. Witnessing the birth of their children and their death at the jaws of the Horned Tyrannosaur pack, Lula felt pity for the two, having lost her own child.
That night, Lula hid away when it was Spear's turn to be sacrificed in order to take Spear's weapon to kill the pteranodon mount. After killing the pteranodon, Lula commanded Fang to set Spear free from his binds. Her betrayal enraged the head witch who shape-shifted into a large wolf to kill Fang. Lula transformed into a raven and flew down to fight the leader directly, not big enough to fight the head witch, but enough to distract her while Lula commands Fang to take Spear and run far away from the coven. Once the duo escaped to a safe distance, Lula transformed back and allowed the head witch to strike her down, consequently freeing Fang from Lula's control.
In an ethereal afterlife, Lula was back in the flower field, where she reunited with her daughter. The two ran toward each other and embraced. ("Coven of the Damned")
Abilities
- Witchcraft: Like the rest of her coven, Lula had supernatural power in the form of magic that could influence natural phenomena to her liking.
- Mind Control: Lula could take control of animals by emitting magical runes onto them. She could control these animals by body movement and even sync them with her own.
- Time Control: Lula could stop time itself for however long she wished.
- Memory Reading: By drawing a circle and placing it in front of someone, Lula could generate a portal into one's memories. Lula could view and fast-forward these memories, but not directly interact with the subjects inside of them.
- Levitation: Lula could levitate objects such as herself.
- Shapeshifting: Lula was able to transform into a large raven when she fought the coven leader.
