Nightmare (ナイトメア )? is an evil organization for the main villains from Yes! Pretty Cure 5. Their mission is to capture the Dream Collet for the chairwoman, Desperaia, so she can gain immortality to bring despair to the world.
The base for the villains appears to be located in the middle of a city district. It is a huge skyscraper with many unseen offices, Bunbee's board room, Desperaia's office on the top floor and a roof top. The whole layout is based on a Japanese corporation/evil corporation.
The subordinates seated at the table, wearing masks, were citizens of the Palmier Kingdom. They had been captured, brainwashed, and disguised as humans. However, in episode 48, they eventually returned to their true selves and forms.
Chairwoman
Desperaia is the main antagonist of Yes! Pretty Cure 5 and is responsible for the destruction of the Palmier Kingdom. She primarily communicates with her employees through a monitor. Desperaia desires the Dream Collet to obtain eternal youth and beauty. Although she ultimately achieves her goal, she loses control of her own power. In a moment of redemption, she sacrifices herself to save the Cures and the citizens of Palmier. After her downfall, her organization is destroyed.
Employees
Each member of Nightmare has both a normal human form and an anthropomorphic animal-like form. They have been ordered to obtain the Dream Collet for Desperaia, having to confront the Pretty Cure to achieve this goal. They can summon Kowainas via special cards. If an employee fails to complete their tasks multiple times, they receive a black card, which transforms into a black Kowaina mask that is forcibly placed on their face. This transformation makes them stronger by turning them into a giant monster, but it also costs them their free will.
