Scaletex is a humanoid armored Lindworm-like monster who serves Moltor. He appears in the episode "Lights, Camera, Dax".
History
This red and blue armored dragon-like dinosaur creature was summoned by Moltor to hunt down Kamdor and Miratrix and retrieve the Ancient Parchment from them.
Scaletex encountered with Kamdor and Miratrix and nearly succeeded, but the Rangers arrived. During his fight with the Rangers, Kamdor and Miratrix escaped.
Scaletex followed them to the cave, but they blasted it, causing rocks to fall and bury him. Scaletex never escaped the burial.

Personality
Personality-wise, Scaletex acts very much like Jester the Pester from Power Rangers Mystic Force, being very loony and silly, but at the same time will take his missions seriously. He will not stop at his mission to follow Kamdor and Miratrix. He is also very faithful to Moltor.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Flame Breath: Scaletex can spew out fire from his mouth in the form of red, orange, and yellow colored flames or orange and yellow colored flame lasers that are similar to the ones released by the Lava Lizards, but are stronger.
- Lightning Teleportation: Scaletex can teleport in a flash of red-orange lightning.
- Lightning Empowerment: Scaletex can power himself up with orange and red-colored lightning around himself for an increase in strength.
- Chest Lightning Blast: Scaletex can launch a blast of red and orange colored lightning from his chest.
Abilities
- Superhuman Strength: Scaletex is one of the stronger monsters thus far into the season, being able to knock Mack with a single punch.
- Superhuman Durability: Scaletex, like his name suggests, has scales that enabled him to take several hits from the Drive Lance without damage.
- Extraordinary Leaper: Scaletex can leap at an incredible distance.

- His design is based on the Dragonzord in Battle Mode from season 1 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
- Scaletex is the first and only monster in Power Rangers Operation Overdrive not to get destroyed by a Ranger, nor has he grown giant because of the footage between Super DaiBouken and him.
