Masamune, also stylized as MASAMUNE, is one of the characters from pop'n music 18 せんごく列伝.

Character Information^[1]

The original figure is, of course, a well-known general who has been continuously admired by the citizens of Sendai, including his lovable uncle and his elder sister in history.
Now...what to do with him in pop'n?....I still had my worries.
And because I adore Date Masamune from Taiga dramas, I have my respect for his sanpaku eyes. This is just unremovable.

As expected, the "Date" name is an etymological name for a male, and both his crescent moon front and his black-and-blue armor design are so cool!
For that image, I added his cruelty that matches the song and some famous items from Sendai to his black, and slightly modern helmet.
The guitar behind him for the last and 4th part feels like a heavy strumming.
And for the rest, I dressed him up in a Hispania style for his win animation in connection to the Hasekura Mansion.
Even though he is from a different time period, I imagine a three-legged crow who is associated with him and his volunteer army from a group of crows from the end of the Tokugawa period.
(By the way, while doing some investigation, not only Judayu Hosoya was an important person for his amazing life, but his son as well.)
His 2P color palette is a pure white outfit when meeting face-to-face with Hideyoshi.
The real great man who remain in history, is much denser in reality than the flashy character I established.

And, he was heavily incorporated by maniacs. He defies the members who know what's up.
If I ponder about making the name D, it's too pompous of a name, plus it's already taken...yeah.
Incidentally, I came up with "Masamune" without twisting things up. The other general characters in pop'n are straightforwardly challenged head-to-head in comparison.
Not gonna let each and every member from the staff bail out! It's something I remember to say as my boost.
"Don't push me! Don't you ever push me!", as someone would say.

Perhaps the reason why is that gives the Gyra Gyra Eyepatch Gang some work, if you can listen to the sounds of the guitar at a lunar night.

Appearance

PSYCHOBILLY

Masamune has simple black hair and eyes, but his right eye is covered with an eye patch. He dons a black kabuto with a gold crescent ornament and star accessories. He is often shown covered by a black cape, featuring a blue trim at the bottom. Underneath he wears a black and blue uniform with white gloves. He is shown with a black guitar, playing it in his FEVER! animation, or on his back usually. He also wields an assortment of weapons, such as katanas, pistols, and cannons. Masamune's Win animation gives him special attire, such as a black hat with a blue feather ornament, a blue cape, and his crescent is half shaded into black. His entire outfit gains gold highlights, such as the patch located on his left arm.

Masamune's 2P color palette changes his attire to all white, while his guitar and other highlights have lighter blue colors and his headpiece is silver. His 2P Win uniform is all white with light blue trim and silver sections.

His 3P color palette give him dark blond hair, blue eyes, and dark gray attire, while his highlights are dark orange. His other highlights, such as his guitar and collar, are fuchsia and red.

Other Appearances

In the pop'n music ラピストリア Card Collection, Masamune's new attire is almost identical to the one on his WIN animation, though colored dark purple instead of blue. He receives a midnight-colored cavalier hat that retains a crescent ornament and a group of three white feathers with purple decor. His top is purple with long-sleeves and a large collar. A cape is draped over his right side, with ornate gold details. Lastly he wears black pants, boots, and a white fur piece located on his left side.
