Bruno is a character who appeared in the The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh episode "Monkey See, Monkey Do Better". He is an arrogant American wind-up toy robot gorilla and is voiced by Jim Cummings.
When Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Rabbit opened Christopher Robin's birthday present or at least that's what they it was, Bruno revealed himself and showed that when the key in his back winds down, so does he. Apparently, he can only move again if someone winds up his key. When Pooh and his friends introduce themselves, Bruno looks down on them and tells them that he is the best present a kid could get, and the number one top toy around. After a quick argument, he proposes a deal that if he can outdo them at their talents, they would have to leave Christopher Robin forever. When he challenges each character's special talent, with Piglet as the only exception, he bests Pooh in retrieving honey from a nearby tree, grew vegetables superior to Rabbit's and outbounced Tigger (Piglet claimed that he had no talent and therefore was not challenged).
As Pooh and his friends are leaving the wood, Christopher stops them and tells them that he does not intend to keep Bruno, which takes him completely by surprise. Christopher reveals that he and the birthday party mentioned earlier are both for an unknown human friend, not for him. Bruno runs off in grief and allows himself to be wound down. Though reluctant, Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Rabbit help Christopher find him and wind himself up again. Though Bruno is surprised that they came for him, Christopher tells him that he is being sent to his friend as a gift, which cheers up Bruno and excites him. He is last seen being wrapped into the present he originally came out of and feeling happy and eager to go to Christopher Robin's friend's party.
