Adventure Sync

Adventure Sync is a game element that allows Trainers to keep track on weekly walked distance. It can be connected with Apple Health (on Apple devices) or Google Fit (on Android devices) to record a Trainer's walking distance, and therefore earn Candy and hatch Eggs, while the game is either running in the background or completely closed.^[1]

The feature can be used without connecting it to the health applications, just for the weekly summary and rewards for the distance. Moreover, this feature allows player to receive push notifications when their Buddy Pokémon has found a Candy or when an Egg is about to hatch, even with the game closed.

Adventure Sync also can be accessed through widgets available from a device's home screen. These can be used to track Buddy Pokémon's heart gauges and check on the progress of incubated Eggs while the game is closed.

Weekly summary and rewards

Adventure Sync delivers a weekly summary on Trainer's profile page, where Trainers can view their Incubator, Candy progress and with the health app connected there is also activity statistics such as steps walked and calories burnt displayed.

There are 3 tiers of reward for walking 5, 25 and 50 kilometres a week. Rewards can be received at Monday 9:00 a.m. local time of each week for each milestone trainers have crossed.

The Pokémon available in Adventure Sync Pokémon Eggs change with Season.
