Overview

The Sky can be accessed by using a Staraptor or by either summoning Latios or Latias with the Ranger Sign. At first, the Sky can't be accessed because of the Pincher's locking up all the local Staraptor. After the Staraptor are freed at Hinder Cape, the Player can use Staraptor's Fly field move to access the Sky. Pokémon can be encountered and captured in the Sky and they can be brought onto land by talking to Supurna in Aqua Resort. There are four patterns of where Pokémon appear in the Sky and some Pokémon can only be found in specific patterns. A pattern is randomly selected when the Player enters the Sky and only three patterns are available until the post-game.

During the battle against the Societea, Hocus creates an illusion that the Player and Partner are flying in the sky and sends a giant Crobat to attack them.
