Hidden Abilities are a type of Ability introduced in Generation V.
Description
Unlike its regular Abilities, a Pokémon with a Hidden Ability is not found during conventional wild encounters, but during certain circumstances only, including certain Pokémon received as gifts and events. In Generation V, all Pokémon from Pokémon Dream World, Pokémon Dream Radar, and Hidden Grottoes each have a Hidden Ability.
Depending on the game, trading a Pokémon with a Hidden Ability to a different generation changes it to their regular Ability.
