Currency is used to both purchase items and for goods and services in both real life and the Pokémon World alike. The most common type of currency is Pokémon Dollars, which debut in Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version, but other types of currencies have also been known to exist, such as League Points in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
