Claudina helped Brock get to Sinnoh after they had met each other in Pewter City and he planned on traveling with her, having developed an attraction until he found out she had a boyfriend already. She then left Ash and a heartbroken Brock, thanking Brock for the lunch and dinner he'd made for her and headed off.
