Cake Zone

Park Cake Zone

The Cake Zone is a location in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond. It is one of the four zones in Wish Park and connects with Seasong Beach. The attraction manager in this zone is Cofagrigus.

Story

Pikachu and Piplup visit the Cake Zone after hearing about it from Krokorok and Sandile. When they arrive, they explore and play the zone's attraction, Cake Contraption. However, before they can eat the cake they made in the attraction, a Pansear warns them that whoever eats the cake falls under a trance. Cofagrigus appears and force feeds some cake to Pansear, putting him into a trance, but Oshawott, who was investigating disappearing Pokémon, arrives and prevents him from doing the same to Pikachu and Piplup. Suddenly, Cofagrigus' master's voice booms throughout the zone and declares none shall leave Wish Park and two giant arms appear and try to trap Pikachu, Oshawott, and Piplup inside. Piplup pushes Pikachu and Oshawott back into the PokéPark at the cost of being captured.

Later, Pikachu and Oshawott return to save the kidnapped Pokémon. After clearing Cofagrigus' attraction a second time, and defeating him and his Yamask, the two ring the Zone's Wish Bell, freeing the kidnapped Pokémon from their trance. However, Piplup is nowhere to be found and Cofagrigus reveals there are multiple zones in Wish Park, but a Gothorita arrives to keep him from spilling any more secrets. Gothorita explains that the master of Wish Park desires to keep Pokémon entranced with it forever and interference will be not accepted before leaving with Cofagrigus.

Attraction

Cake Contraption

Cake Contraption

Cake Contraption is an attraction with two stages. The first stage has Patrat and Watchog popping out of holes holding nuts. Players must aim the Wii Remote target above the nuts and fire using the "A" button to destroy it and earn points. More points are earned depending on which color of nut: green is worth the fewest, red is worth more, and gold is worth the most. After the first stage ends the attraction moves on to the second stage. The second stage has Audino throwing globs of cake dough into the air that slowly fall down the screen. Like earlier, players must aim the Wii Remote target above the cake globs and fire. The first time they are hit, the globs turn into cake, give points and rise up a little bit, allowing time to hit the same target again. The second time the cake is hit, it becomes decorated and gives an extra set of points. Players continue firing in both stages until time runs out.

Boss Battle

The boss battle with Cofagrigus is conducted in two stages. In the first stage, the player must destroy a giant cake tower that Cofagrigus is standing on. The tower can be damaged by attacking it, but Cofagrigus and his Yamask minions will appear and attack the player. After the two are destroyed, the player will face Cofagrigus in a one-on-one battle.
