Backpacker is a Trainer class introduced in Generation V.
Description
Backpackers are young men and women who wear a large backpack. They are often in mysterious places, indicating they are adventurous. They are not focused on using Pokémon of any particular type, but typically have only one Pokémon on hand, usually a rare one, unless they are in a Triple Battle or Rotation Battle.

Backpackers are one of the most common Trainer classes in Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version. They have appeared in most games ever since, sometimes both male and female varieties, or other times only one of the genders. In the Nimbasa Dome, each Backpacker gives a Max Repel to the player after being defeated.
