Yoyo (real name: Sacha) is the main protagonist of the Pyjamasques book series. He is a member, one-third of the Pyjamasques. His vehicular method of travel is the Chat-Bolide. |
Official description
Super agile! Ultra fast! He can hear even the slightest noise, even from far away. The intrepid Yoyo never goes back on the adventure - he jumps to the rescue!
History
Long before the events of the book series, Sacha met his friends Amaya and Greg in school, and he was originally an average kid.
In "La Légende des Pyjamasques," during the events where Sorceline used her powers to capture the animal totems, Yoyo, alongside Bibou and Gluglu, would receive magical pajamas and powers by one of the three animal totems.
During their first encounter with Sorceline, he and his friends would learn that according to their legend, they had to help rescue the rest of the kids' animal totems.
Eventually, he and the rest of the other Pyjamasques succeeded on freeing the animal totems to restore their legend, and trapped Sorceline and the rest of her Mitomites inside her magical sack from returning to do any harm to them.
Physical appearance
As Sacha
Sacha has a blue teal shirt and darker tone pants, and his T-shirt is blue. He also has brown eyes in color and wears white sneakers with blue shoelaces, but was previously to have blue eyes and red sneakers before the events of "Les Pyjamasques et la momie d’Apophis, Tome I."
During the night, his pajamas consist of a traditional stripey white and blue shirt and pants. His feet also appears to be bare.
As Yoyo
As Yoyo, he has turquoise eyes instead of brown eyes. He wears a turquoise one-piece suit resembling a cat with ears, a tail, a white underbelly and many blue stripes. The costume leaves an opening for the lower portion of his face.
In his appearances before "Les Pyjamasques et l'opération zéro," Yoyo originally had white paws and feet, a different arrangement of stripes on his costume, and his white underbelly is smaller in size.
In his solo appearance in the pilot episode of the PJ Masks, he is identical to his early appearances in the book series. However, his appearance is been given slight undertones related to superheroes such as having completely blue cat ear flaps to match his ears instead of looking pink, and has blue paws and feet instead of white.
In one alternate artwork of Yoyo, he is shown with an amulet symbol similar to his television counterpart, Catboy.
Personality
As Sacha
Sacha takes enjoyment on being curious and observing towards things that may interest him during school. He can be easily scared at times; this was especially emphasized in "La Légende des Pyjamasques."
As Yoyo
As Yoyo, he is shown to be the most charismatic member of the Pyjamasques, such as in "Les Pyjamasques et l'opération zéro" and "Les Pyjamasques et le cadeau de Sorceline," in which he encourages the villains that being jealous of getting a zero nor having a gift is not a big deal at all. Alongside Bibou and Gluglu, he can be mischievous towards the villains they face such as taunting Les Mascrapules, and mocking Roméo Mécano.
It is emphasized in "Les Pyjamasques et le croque-chaussettes" that Yoyo will tell lies and forgets about the Night of the Black Moon.
He doesn't even speak in the English language and instead speaks in French.
