Art style
Snoopy in Space marks the first use of the “casual” Apple style for Peanuts in a series. Backgrounds are slightly inspired by the specials and use typical color schemes. Other than that, there’s not much to say about them..
As for the gang, they got a somewhat large style revision in the WildBrain/Apple scene. The style is not based on any style of the comic strip, nor the specials, but it is instead a modified version of the style from the Peanuts YouTube shorts by WildBrain. It has been revised to look more generically accurate to the Peanuts gang, and the outlining is rather unique, as it’s not just black, but varies depending on the colors of what it’s supporting. Overall, it’s clear that it was meant to target children under 11 years old, despite Peanuts as a whole being meant for a general audience (Mostly teens, adults, etc.).
In The Search for Life, the outlining was updated to coincide with the revised style introduced by The Snoopy Show.
