Apex

Apex is the leader of the Pointy Head race, and is responsible for hiring the Pacinator to commit genocide on the Yellow Ones. He first appears in Episode 24, "Robo Woes". He is voiced by Colin Mourdock.

Appearance

Apex resembles a common Pointy Head, having a pointy scalp, silver skin, four tentacle-like legs and two arms with three finger. However, unlike other Pointy Heads, he appears to be far taller (but still short when compared to Pac-Worlders) and possesses dark red pupils.

History

Past

At some unknown point in the past, Apex came into conflict with the legendary yellow pac-worlder Zac under unknown circumstances, which made them enemies. Apex would then begin learning all he could about the "Yellow Orbs" and orchestrated their abduction by apparently hiring the evil mercenary known as the Pacinator to freeze them all, with Betrayus later taking credit for the disappearance of all the yellow ones. Apex then took all of the yellow ones back to Planet Pointy Head for an unknown purpose.

However, various clues found by their son Pac-Man years later suggested that Zac and Sunny eluded being captured or that they somehow escaped Apex's imprisonment, with a framed photo of them owned by Pac-Man showing them pointing to a distant star they may have gone to, presumably Planet Pointyhead likely to find the other yellow ones, as well as information given by Pac's friend Elli who claimed to have met Zac and Sunny with her mother while on a mysterious trip; showing that they were not imprisoned by Apex, or at least not imprisoned around the last time Elli saw them. However, the exact details of Apex, Zac and Sunny's activities since the yellow ones first disappeared up until Apex's first meeting with Pac remain a mystery other than that Apex was planning to conquer Pac-World for his own evil goals.

Robo Woes

Apex would first formally meet Pac-Man and the other citizens of Pac-World when his giant robot first landed near the Round House one fateful year after Zac and Sunny disappeared, where Apex claimed to come and peace and even offered a supposed gift to President Spheros as a token of peace. However, Apex soon made it clear that his intentions were far from peaceful, seeking to conquer all of Pac-World and using his gift to trap those who stood against him.

Fortunately, Apex was defeated by the efforts of Pac-Man who successfully destroyed Apex's giant robot, leaving only its severed head through which Apex spoke, claiming that he was Pac-Man's father, but this was merely a jest and Apex clarified that he had actually met Pac's father in the past, claiming that he was just a big of a pain in the "robutt" as Pac is. Upon hearing this, Pac immediately asked Apex what he knew about his father, but Apex refused to say anything else, simply laughing at Pac while telling him that the Pointy Heads knew all about the "Yellow Orbs". Apex then departed but swore that he would "be back" before disappearing into hyperspace.

Invasion of the Pointy Heads

Apex would eventually keep his promise and returned to Pac-World with a far larger and armed invasion force complete with even more giant robots.

Cosmic Contest

Apex and his army would eventually return and attempt another invasion of Pac-World, but whilst fighting Pac-Man, his friends and Betrayus's ghosts during this third invasion, they all somehow awoke the Overlords of the Outer Regions, who then teleported them to outer space to compete in an interplanetary race in order to see which faction truly was the best in order to put an end to their constant bickering once and for all so the Overlords could get back to their "Space Nap Supreme".

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2

Despite past hostilities, Apex and Betrayus decided to join forces once more in order to finally do away with Pac-Man once and for all.
