Hypertrains are trans-continental trains that run across the United States.^[1] They can travel from one coast to the next in eight hours, and travel at least as fast as 640 kph (nearly 398 mph). While not the fastest or cheapest means of transport available, hypertrains do manage to appeal to those with the money to use them. Not to mention the food, drink, and catering services.^[2]
