Mana Pits emanate blue light emanates from a mystical sacarfical pit. These pits are used to sacrifice your minions in exchange for Mana.

- Mana Pits are absent in Overlord II, since now the player can sacrifice minions on the spot (if necessary) to replenish mana. Also, if you aproached a Netherworld Gate, it will automatically refill your mana percentage.
- Their absence is likely a result of the arcane power contained within the Tower Heart being destroyed during the Great Cataclysm.
- The symbol on their front resembles the Zora's Sapphire from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, as well as the "Air" symbol from the Legacy of Kain series (Soul Reaver 2 onwards).
