The Trigger is a magical item featured on ABC's Once Upon a Time.
History
Created as a fail-safe for the first Dark Curse which would destroy Storybrooke and everyone in it who had originally come from another realm, Regina kept it safe in Snow White's coffin which was underground, and guarded by Maleficent.
Regina manages to retrieve the trigger, with some help from Hook. However, when Regina is kidnapped, the trigger is obtained by Tamara and Greg, who plan on using the trigger to completely destroy Storybrooke. They activate the trigger with one of the dwarves' pick-axe, and Storybrooke begins to disappear. However, just as things are looking grim, Emma Swan manages to combine her magic with Regina's and together they disable the trigger.
