Conjuration is the magical ability that allows the caster to conjure an object out of thin air. This ability featured on ABC's "Once Upon a Time" and "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland".
Description
This power is channeled through both the mind and the hands and triggered by focus or imagination. When an object is conjured, it is often accompanied by a cloud of smoke, such as when Rumplestiltskin creates Cinderella's Glass Slippers, when Zelena conjures a rag, or when Emma produces a piece of paper. However, it is also possible to conjure without smoke, such as when Mr. Gold creates a necklace for Lacey.
Conjuration can be used to create a copy of something else, like when Emma conjures a copy of a page from Henry's storybook. However, an experienced practitioner of witchcraft, can tell if it's a forgery. It can also be used to summon living things, like when Alice conjures a giant troll.
Examples
- When Zelena accidentally cuts her adoptive father with the razor, she conjures a rag to wipe the blood.
- On Alice’s seventeenth birthday, Alice conjures a giant troll, who, unknown to Alice, was conjured by her own magic.
- Emma was conjured a forgery of the door page.
- In one of her few magic lessons, Regina learns how to conjure a rock, which is hidden under a cover, into her hand
