Brosk was an Ensign Engineer of an unnamed species serving aboard the USS Orville. His workstation was in Engineering where he served as a quantum core technician. He was also certified to serve as a navigator on nearly all Planetary Union vessels.[1]
Brosk occasionally served as interim navigator on the ship's bridge during the period between John LaMarr (who left to become Chief Engineer) and the arrival Charly Burke.[2]
Life
Brosk was from the planet Dimidia, a harsh and dynamic world where cooperation among his people was key to survival. It is believed that learning to cooperate from a young age made Brosk highly social and optimistic.[1]

In July 2420, Brosk manned the navigator's station.[2]
Following the Battle of Earth in February 2421, Brosk served in engineering when Lieutenant Dann talked to him about his idea for a weekly casual day which would entail no uniforms, allowing officers to "come to work in a T-shirt." Brosk concurred, convincing Dann to make a proposal to Captain Ed Mercer.[3]
In early 2422, Brosk participated in upgrades to the Orville.[4]
Brosk witnessed Claire Finn chewing out John LaMarr for suggesting to Isaac that he date other women. [5]
Brosk attended Claire and Isaac's wedding.[5]
Personality
Brosk was laid back and casual. He spoke in an alien dialect that other crew members understood (probably through the assistance of a translator). He was supportive and encouraging of fellow co-workers, such as Dann. He freely engaged in small talk, for example, asking Topa what he hoped to major in.[6]
Trivia
- Brosk is one of only two alien crew members, the other being Unk, that speaks in his own language rather than going through the translator.
