Arboreus 1, called Arboreus Prime or Arborius Prime, was a planet and popular tourist destination within the Planetary Union in the early 25th century.
Description
By appearances, Arboreus Prime seems to have been a verdant planet with oceans. An unnamed space station was nearby.[1] Doctor Claire Finn later wrote of the planet: "Arboreus Prime sounded like an ideal place for a family trip. Beautiful forests, a hotel in the sky, rides and games for the kids ... and maybe even a little me time."[2]
Arboreus Prime was renowned in the Union as a vacation planet with rides, entertainment, and hotels that floated in the sky. In early 2420, First Officer Kelly Grayson said that it was raining all over the planet. Claire, her sons Ty and Marcus, and Isaac meant to visit the planet for a holiday but their shuttle was sucked into the gravity well of a Class-2 spatial fold. A dockmaster on the planet reported to the USS Orville that they never arrived.[3]
Alternate timeline
In an alternate timeline where Ed Mercer never became captain of the Orville and Claire never joined the ship as its Chief Medical Officer, Claire and her two sons visited Arboreus Prime for vacation, which was cut short due to an outbreak of betelgeusean flu on the nearby space station.[1]
