Che Heart is the main protagonist of Ordeal. He is the leader of the Wolf Pack, fighting to stop the next brewing Human vs Kimyo War after inheriting one of the Four Great Talents, Ilios, the Sun Fire Talent, from his master, Leo Thomas.  

Appearance

Che looks very similar to his mother, May Heart. Sporting blonde, shoulder length locs with an undercut with a beard and mustache, wearing his father's dangling gold earrings. Che also has orange eyes which often glow when he uses his powers and possesses a very muscular build. He also has several scars of varying sizes all over his body, which he has gained from his many participations in tournaments against Kimyo. After the Greenland War, he lost the use of his right eye during his battle with the Shadow.

Personality

Che is a brave and hardworking individual who strives to take care of his loved ones, actively participating in matches against Kimyos to pay for his sister's care. He cares a lot about the Wolf Pack, seeing them as his blood brothers and willing to put his life on the line for them. He has a bad habit of holding things in, so he won't be a burden to others. He is very aware of his role of being a beacon of safety and security, being responsible with the duty passed on to him being Leo Thomas's successor. Andrea comments Che as being a good man, whose heart desires to protect the vulnerable.

After the death of his master and father figure, Leo, Che slowly rejects Leo's teaching of no-killing. He shows no qualms about eliminating his enemies, giving his vengeance on those whom he considers enemies.

After the events of the Greenland War, which resulted in the death of his second master, Bjorn Grimsson, Che has grown weary of how KODE handles their issues, seeing them as responsible for the countless lives lost during the terrorist attack on the Kimyo population of Trinidad.

Powers and Abilities

Overview

Overall Abilities: Che Heart is an extremely powerful individual who spent his whole life fighting against Kimyo, whose strength outweighs his own, but still finds a way to stand his ground. After inheriting the Ilios talent from Leo Thomas, Che is quickly becoming one of the strongest Kimyos on the planet, defeating many powerful individuals and being able to stand against God Tier level Kimyos.

Kimyo Physiology: Though he grew up as a human after his original talent was taken away, after gaining the Illios talent, Che possesses the complementary abilities that the Kimyo physiology grants him.

• Unique Body Chemistry: Born to inherit the Thanatos Talent, Che has the most powerful Kimyo body. Even as a human, he had nigh-superhuman physical abilities.

Combat Prowess

Accelerated Development: Che's rapid improvement in combat skills astounds even seasoned warriors like Lord Bjorn Grimsson.

Chi Shrouding: Che mastered the ability to conceal his chi & thus his presence. He mastered this ability within months while it took Leo Thomas years.

Master Martial Artist: Trained since childhood, Che is highly skilled in various martial arts, making him highly adaptable to most combat situations. He honed his analytical skills under Leo Thomas, enabling him to assess opponents' strengths and weaknesses. He is also highly skilled with numerous weapons, such as katanas and spears.

Talent- Ilios Phoenix Flame:

Che Heart holds one of the four Great Talents, Ilios, the Sun Fire Talent. With his accelerated development, he's mastering his Talent quicker than expected. He now has 100% access to the Ilios's power due to accepting his duty as a guardian.

• "Sun Fire"/Pyrokinesis: The primary ability this Talent grants is immense pyrokinetic abilities. These flames can easily wipe out entire armies. These flames can be blasted in streams, bolts, waves, & even from his mouth. His precision is so great that he can cause this to explode just by touching it.
  • Pyrokinetic Construct Creation: Che can concentrate these flames into solid constructs, such as his spear, Akontio.
  • Pyrokinetic Infusion: Che can concentrate his flames into his limb(s) to augment his striking power. He can also infuse objects with chi, lighting them after touching them.
  • Blue Flames: When using more power, Che can access the blue flames of Ilios, which grants him higher levels of pyrokinetic powers. It was recently discovered that each holder of Ilios's Blue Flames has a unique property to their flames. Due to Che's resolve to protect, his flames destroy his enemies but don't harm his allies. After the death of Bjorn Grimsson, Che has been shown to summon the flames quickly.
  • Sun Creation: True to the Talent's name, the Talent grants the users the power of the Sun by calling forth large amounts of flames and enveloping them with thick layers of chi. These suns vary in size and, depending on their size, have their gravitational fields.

• Despite not knowing he's the original avatar of Thanatos, Che has always shown references to Thanatos which can be seen by his first mask.
  • Brent Bristol also went on to say that he's representing Thanatos & Ilios by wearing both the skull mask & Ilios helmet which makes it hard for opponents to tell which side he's on.
• Che Heart is the only known Kimyo who was able to survive a Talent Extraction.
• Che's parents didn't name him. Neither did Leo. He was named after Illios talent himself
