When Reiju entered the kitchen and asked some questions about cooking, Beryl had been in the back kitchens, and came out to meet her. Reiju asked about things such as the methods of removing poison from Armored Stonefish. Beryl took her to a tank where the fish were kept and explained how Ruby Seaweed was used to absorb the poison from the fish over a period of three weeks. When Reiju commented about her brothers' picky eating, Beryl happily explains the careful steps the chefs took to make sure the meals suits the Vinsmoke brothers' eating preferences. [1]
