CONTESTANTS are a group of characters and NPCs in OMORI. They are two SPROUT MOLES that serve as contestants on SWEETHEART's show "SWEETHEART'S QUEST FOR HEARTS".
PROFILE
APPEARANCE
Both CONTESTANTS are normal, generic SPROUT MOLES, and as such they both look identical to the other normal SPROUT MOLES in the game. Despite being two characters, they share the same appearance and role in the story.
PERSONALITY
As implied through their participation in SWEETHEART's popular show, both CONTESTANTS appear to grealy love SWEETHEART upon first glance. However, they turn out to be simple-minded and dimwitted, just like any typical SPROUT MOLE. They also greatly dread the idea of being thrown into THE DUNGEON, fearing of their upcoming fates if they do not escape in time.
STORY
CONTESTANT #1 and CONTESTANT #2, along with SNALEY appear as contestants on an episode of SWEETHEART'S QUEST FOR HEARTS. In their respective introductions which are given by SPROUT MOLE MIKE, both contestants are shown to be very typical and run-of-the-mill SPROUT MOLES, who enjoy things all SPROUT MOLES enjoy, namely TOFU and plastic flamingos. After the party restores SPROUT MOLE VILLAGE'S power, both contestants make their case for becoming SWEETHEART'S suitor, but both are deemed unfit by SWEETHEART, who chooses HERO as her suitor instead.
CONTESTANT #1 is discarded by SWEETHEART due to the fact he is "just three feet tall". CONTESTANT #2 meets the same fate, as SWEETHEART states that "His very being offends me". Both contestants are dragged off the stage by guards and are thrown into THE DUNGEON, where they can be found later on lamenting over their situation, saying that "No one ever escapes THE DUNGEON!", an ironic statement, considering when they say this, the gate to their cell had already been opened by the party.
