BLANK is a character and NPC in OMORI. They are one of the many mysterious creatures residing within the DEEPER WELL of the UNDERWATER HIGHWAY.

PROFILE

APPEARANCE

BLANK is an orange-colored creature with a buttoned face, long pink hair, and an disembodied forearm, with the fingers as legs and head on the top. Their body structure is slightly curvy but the most intriguing feature is perhaps its head/eye, though it is hard to tell by the character's overworld sprite.

Its appearance taking on the form of a disembodied forearm may refer to MARI's hand reaching down to SUNNY during the time when she saved him from drowning at the HANGOUT SPOT of FARAWAY TOWN.

PERSONALITY

Like the other DEEPER WELL residents, BLANK appears to be aware of the truth surrounding the existence of HEADSPACE and by extension, the truth regarding MARI's death. They also show concern for OMORI when telling him that his memories aren't freed yet.

STORY

TWO DAYS LEFT

BLANK first appears on a small island featuring various waterfalls alongside three whirlpools that function as portals to the other subareas of DEEPER WELL.

When speaking to them as OMORI, BLANK will notice that the latter's memories aren't free. They then inform OMORI that to obtain another lost memory, another memory must be shrouded but solemnly mentions that all memories will fade away eventually.

BLANK concludes their words by telling the group that this effect is the curse of the DEEPER WELL. Speaking to them with any other party member will simply lead to them only hearing mumbling.

ONE DAY LEFT

After saving BASIL from BLACK SPACE and resetting HEADSPACE on the OMORI ROUTE, all DEEPER WELL residents (excluding HUMPHREY and CIPHER) appear to have vanished entirely.

However, when re-entering PINK BEACH by using a secret entrance within NORTH LAKE, the empty husk of BLANK can be found alongside the other missing NPCs from DEEPER WELL.

When inspecting BLANK's corpse, the text will reveal that they are not alive, most likely stripped of their consciousness due to knowing too much about the truth.
