Hitoshio Spring is a small spring located in the northern part of Agata Forest. In Ōkami, the water the is used by Kushi as a sake ingredient in her 8 Purification Sake. Kushi can be found collecting water for the approaching Kamiki Festival during Amaterasu's search for the lost three members of the Canine Warriors. In Ōkamiden, Madame Fawn moved here due to the flooding of Agata Forest caused by Bullhead.

The Hitoshio Spring serves as a natural spring and one of the sources of water in Agata Forest. The spring's source is from the empty stump of a giant tree, which has hollow branches for the water to flow out into an erosion-formed pond. The pond has no offshoots, but the water in it never seems stagnant, because it has a swirling Mermaid spring in it.

History

When searching for Canine Warrior Jin, Amaterasu and Issun spotted Kushi by Hitoshio Spring, who needs to use the spring's divine water for her sake. Amaterasu assists her in pouring the spring water inside a large barrel Kushi brought using Waterspout. When the barrel is full, Kushi tried to carry the full barrel on her back, only to no avail. After that, she is ambushed by demons, but fortunately, Susano came to the area for Kushi's protection . Right after Susano defeats them all (with the help of Amaterasu), Kushi thanked him for saving her from the attacks, only for Susano to stare at his sword and angrily demands the "spirit possessing [his] blade" to show itself, and ran off. Without Susano to help her carrying the barrel, Kushi has to do so by herself, which is a wonder, as she managed to get it back to Kamiki.
