Echo claims to be from the future, a period of time with no processed foods. Echo says that Professor Dumas made an experiment that caused this. (Later we find out that Dumas is James and the experiment was Toasty.) But when Max kills Toasty and Waffley is born another person from the future called Harmony says that James will destroy the world. (Notice how because Toasty was defeated James will not be Dumas but somehow will still destroy the World.) Harmony is kicked back into the future by Echo who said that she hates spoilers.
What does it look like
Not much is known of The Future. But we do know that people in the future can time travel and some have their own birdie, as Echo and Harmony Prove.
But we can assume that by then technology has developed a lot, and that there must already be more advanced flying vehicles or means of transport and also more advanced in domestic things.
The Past Future
Before Max killed Toasty the Future had no processed food and Dumas is the hated villain.
The Present Future
The new and present future, no longer has Toasty destroying the Future, but most likely Waffley. Also as Harmony proves, James is no longer known as Dumas.
Harmony seems to be the new Echo, as she also has a Birdie and went to the Past to save the world.
The Ruler
Because Max killed Toasty, Toasty will probably no longer be the emporer in the future and instead it will most likely be Waffley.
