Yusuke Amano (JP) (born 1981) is a director at Nintendo. He worked on directorial roles on various titles of the New Super Mario Bros. and Splatoon franchises, among other games.
History
Amano Initially started as a debugger on Super Mario Club, and tested games like Super Mario Advance 4, where he made some of the Super Skill movies that appeared with the e-Reader. Afterwards, he joined EAD as a planner, and worked on projects like New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
As a part of Nintendo's garage initiative to get younger developers to direct games, he was appointed as the director of New Super Mario Bros. 2, and the main director of Splatoon and Splatoon 2.
