Volbonans are sentient fork-like creatures with eyes from the Luncheon Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. Their culture make most of them obsessed with cooking and food. They appear in different bright colors, wearing chef hats and neckerchiefs, and their tines can function as both arms and legs. They are are experts at cooking Stupendous Stew, a legendary dish that was stolen by Bowser. When Mario arrive in the Luncheon Kingdom, the Volbonans are terrorized by Cookatiel, a giant bird chef who works for Bowser and took over making the stew from them.
At the game's finale, in the Moon Kingdom, some Volbonans and Other NPCs can be found in attendance of the wedding between Bowser and Princess Peach. Like other attending members, they were brought forcefully. After beating the game, they can be found in many kingdoms.
Some hatless Volbonans can be found stuck to walls. Mario can capture them with Cappy and use them to shoot himself in the direction he wants.
