The Steamlord is the leader of the worker drones on Elysia in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Samus encounters three of them during her mission; during each battle, the Steamlord is accompanied by Steambots.
Battle
Battle 1
As Samus attempts to leave the Steambot Barracks, the door locks and several gates seal. The Steamlord then emerges from a capsule as four Steambots come out of their recharge chambers. The Steamlord has the ability to become invisible; to get him to show himself, Samus has to cripple the Steambots. Once two or three Steambots break down, the Steamlord becomes visible and repairs the Steambots, giving Samus a chance to attack him. However, he can disrupt Samus's Visor and disable Hypermode (if she happens to be using Hypermode). Defeating the Steamlord earns Samus an Energy Tank.
Battle 2
As Samus traverses Skybridge Hera, another Steamlord appears, and revives some Steambots on the unstable bridge as she crosses it. If Samus manages to get past the Steambots without attacking them and then pull apart the gate on the other side with her Grapple Lasso, thus causing the bridge to fall, taking the Steambots with it, she can earn a Friend Voucher for this "Stylish Kill".
Battle 3
Upon returning to the Ballista Storage room, where she fought the Defense Drone for the Boost Ball, Samus faces yet another Steamlord. Luckily, this time, defeating the Steamlord is a little easier, because Samus can use the X-Ray Visor to find him, and she also has the Plasma Beam, which inflicts moderate damage.
