Spiny Eggs (also called Spiny's Eggs) are the primary weapons used by the Lakitu species. In Super Mario Bros., they will turn into a Spiny the moment they touch the ground. In Super Mario 64, they bounce for a moment before they turn into a Spiny. In Super Mario Galaxy 2, Yoshi could eat the Spiny Eggs and Spinies and shoot them back out and enemies.
