Off the Hook is a pop idol duo in Inkopolis Square consisting of Pearl Houzuki and Marina Ida. They take over the Squid Sisters' duties from the first game as the hostesses of the news program at the start of the game, as well as Splatfest events.
Off the Hook have a role in the Octo Expansion, where they both have different outfits.
They were designed by Nintendo artist Rina Honda [1] and are voiced by Rina Itou (Pearl) and Alice Peralta (Marina; credited as Alice).
