NBA 2K22 is a 2021 basketball simulation video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports for the Nintendo Switch and the fifth in the series released for the console. As the 23rd installment in the NBA 2K series, it is the successor to NBA 2K21 and the predecessor to NBA 2K23.

Trivia

• For the first time in the series, the games features six different cover athletes: the standard and current-gen editions feature Luka Dončić of the Dallas Mavericks, the 75th Anniversary Edition features former stars Kareem Abdul-Jabaar of the Los Angeles Lakers and Dirk Nowitzki (also for the Mavericks), alongside current star Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets. The Special 25th Anniversary Edition features Candace Parker of the Chicago Sky. The Japanese box art features Rui Hachimura of the Washington Wizards. Parker became the first WNBA player to became the cover athlete for the NBA 2K series. This was also the first game to feature a Japanese box art. Durant was previously one of the three cover athletes for NBA 2K13 (alongside Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose) and the solo cover athlete for NBA 2K15, both times with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
