The Longshot is an item in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is a spring-loaded grappling hook and an upgraded version of Link's iconic Hookshot, with a longer chain giving it an even greater range. The end of the Longshot is shaped like an arrowhead, with backwards facing hooks and shot out with enough force to dig into soft objects like wood or monster flesh. It can also be used to grab items from a distance.
Description
The Longshot is acquired in the Water Temple after defeating Dark Link in battle. It replaces the Hookshot in Link's inventory. It is a big help during the boss battles with Morpha and Bongo Bongo.
