Hinomoto is a nation in Dragalia Lost, located to the east of Alberia. Several characters have arrived at the Halidom from Hinomoto, including a delegation every New Year's. In addition, several other characters in the game are said to be from Hinomoto. Hinomoto's culture and mythology are largely based on real-world Japan's.
Twelve Wyrmclans
Hinomoto is ruled by twelve families known as the Wyrmclans, each based on one of the animals of the Japanese Zodiac. The head of each family is elegible to become shogun. Each family head as well as the shogun are allowed to form soulpacts with dragons, but the soulpact means they will live a shorter life. As of Shingen's story, two of the families (the Tiger and the Rooster) are set to dissolve when their leaders die. The family heads also tend to have retainers.
The known families are as follows:
- Rat, led by Mitsuhide, pactbound to Daikokuten.
- Ox, led by Seimei, pactbound to Gozu Tenno.
- Tiger, led by Shingen, pactbound to Fudo Myo-o.
- Horse, led by Nobunaga, pactbound to Susano-o.[1]
- Monkey, led by Yukimura.
- Rooster, led by Yoshitsune.
- Boar, led by Ieyasu, pactbound to Marishiten.
