Gynoug also known as Wings of Wor for the North American release is a scrolling shooter video game developed by Masaya Games and published by Nippon Computer Systems. The game was originally released for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive in 1991 and then re-released for the Wii Virtual Console in Japan in 2008. The game was ported to the Nintendo Switch by Ratalaika Games in 2021.
Gameplay
Plot
The heavens are being attacked by the demons of Iccus, led by a being known only as the Destroyer. The angel Wor must bring the fight to Iccus itself and put an end to the Destroyer's dark plans.
Reception
Mean Machines magazine reviewed the title, giving it 88%.
MegaTech 5 magazine praised the power-ups and the graphics used for the bosses.
