Courtney is one of the two Team Magma Admins in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and their remakes, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Ruby and Sapphire

Courtney appears primarily in Pokémon Ruby, where Team Magma is the main enemy. She works under Maxie and is battled before him.

Due to Pokémon Emerald combining the stories of Ruby and Sapphire, Courtney makes only one appearance, where she does not have a speaking part. Courtney is the only Admin of either of the teams who is not battled in Emerald.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Courtney's role in Omega Ruby is similar to Ruby in the main story. In the Delta Episode, Courtney seeks to fufill Maxie's dream and acquire her own Key Stone. Her speech pattern in this game is filled with pauses, something not present in Ruby and Sapphire. In that game, Courtney would often laugh before her speech instead.

Courtney was added to Pokémon Masters EX on August 5, 2022. Her partner is Camerupt.
