The Master is a five-minute short for The LEGO Ninjago Movie that played before Storks, another movie by Warner Bros.
Plot
The short focuses on Wu, who is playing flute on his staff at his dojo. He tries spelling out "The Master" on a wall, but before he can do so, a chicken interrupts him. Annoyed, he shoos it away and begins again and again, only to be disturbed every time. Unable to defeat it, Wu walks away, feeling defeated, until the chicken decides to become friends with him, making them "The Masters" until Wu kicks the chicken through the wall.

Trivia
- According to Tommy Andreasen, Wu's chicken appears in the show as a reference to this short.[1]
- The temple appearing in this short did not appear in the movie. It also resembles the Monastery of Spinjitzu.
- The short was also released as a bonus feature for The LEGO Batman Movie and The LEGO Ninjago Movie on Blu-ray and DVD.
- The statue seen behind the temple most likely represents Wu, but it could also represent the First Spinjitzu Master.
- It was the beginning of The Lego Ninjago Movie's marketing campaign.
