Plot
Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword
Sakura is one of the children who survived Doku's raid six months in the past. She sees Momiji as an older sister, and looks up to Ryu Hayabusa with adoration in her eyes. She addresses him as "Ryu-niisama". When the ninjas of the Black Spider Ninja Clan kidnapped her, the ransom they demanded was the Dragon Sword. She told Ryu not to surrender the sword to them, and was ready to die to protect the sword, when Sanji shoots one of the ninjas with Omitsu's bow and arrows, saving her and leaving Ryu to punish the Black Spider Ninjas for what they've done.
Wood Amulet
One of Muramasa's prizes is Sakura's diary, where her feelings for Ryu are shown.

Diary : Sakura's Diary
Dear Ryu,
I know you think of me as a
little girl, but I'm a grown
woman now. I know you'll
never read this letter but I
have to say it: I love you!
I want to make myself the
kind of woman who you
will respect as an equal!
