UQ Holder! is a sequel to the Mahou Sensei Negima! Manga by Ken Akamatsu which started serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine on August 28th, 2013.
In the 30th issue of Weekly Shōnen Magazine was announced that the series would be going in a break until October 9th of 2016, when it reassume serialization in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine until February 8, 2022.
Plot
The story takes place in the future, where magic is known and utilized by the public. The protagonist, Touta Konoe, is the amnesiac grandson of a late Negi Springfield. He was raised in a small town by Evangeline A.K. McDowell (using the alias of Yukihime, a teacher) following the death of his parents in a mysterious incident. After Yukihime's true identity is revealed to Touta, she tells him that in order to save his life during the aforementioned mysterious incident, his parents had requested that she turn him into a vampire as well.
Now that both her and Touta's immortal natures are known, Yukihime deems it unsafe for them to remain out in the open, so they set off together for UQ Holder, a group of immortals who work in the name of justice.
