- NCIS Season 22 airs alongside NCIS: Origins Season 1 and NCIS: Sydney Season 2. This is the first season to air alongside Origins.
- Like NCIS Seasons 18 and 21, NCIS Season 22 is third season to not premiere in the usual September, instead it premiered in October.
- This season, alongside NCIS Origins Season 1, temporarily paused production in January 2025 due to the Southern California wildfires. They later resumed production a few days later but only shooting inside the soundstages.
