Museum exhibit
Merenkahre is an Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh who is Shepseheret's husband, and Kahmunrah and Ahkmenrah's father. He is also the museum tablet's creator. This character is only seen in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and was portrayed by Ben Kingsley. Other descriptions of him appear in Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again, but not the actual Pharaoh himself.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb
Larry had to bring Ahkmenrah, the Tablet, and his group to the British Museum of Natural History where the mummies of Merenkahre and Shepseheret are held in order to find a way to keep the Tablet from corroding.
It is explained by Merenkahre that, after Ahkmenrah's birth, he commissioned his high priest to create and tablet, imbuing it with the magic and power of the Egyptian moon god Khonsu to keep the royal family together, even after death.
Although a stiff, imposing, somewhat terse man, Merenkahre truly does love his younger son, Ahkmenrah, and his wife. When the tablet has a flare up and Ahkmenrah takes ill again, he is extremely worried and vehemently charges Larry to help the tablet and help his son.
During the credits, he is seen dancing to the Museum of Natural History's celebration at the British Museum.
Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again
While we never really see Merenkahre physically, as he is in the British Museum, the tablet's powers effect the posters and such around them.

In the Museum of Natural History after Kahmunrah takes a hold of the tablet, he states how he'll get revenge of all those who doubted him, walking over to a poster as he says how. Kahmunrah points out to the poster as he states he'll get revenge on especially his dad, saying how he didn't allow him to be king of Egypt. With this, Merenhakre clearly is not taking Kahmunrah seriously, only staring down at him with a frown as Kahmunrah speaks again. He talks about forgetting Egypt and becoming king of the world before running off. With this, Merenhakre says how- 'you can take the boy out of the underworld but you can't take the underworld out of the boy'.

Merenkahre also appears later on in the movie as a statue from the shoulders and up in an Egyptian exhibit in the Metropolis Art Museum. He is first heard saying hello to Kahmunrah as he and Seth come into the room. Kahmunrah makes a comment about how his dad seems to be craved on 'everything', before complaining about how he is never in any of the museums but his dad is in all of them. This leads Mernkahre to asks if he really wants to have that conversation at the moment, which leads Kahmunrah to say that it doesn't matter since he's about to be the most powerful pharaoh ever. Seth comments on how this is all happening due to 'daddy issues', which Merenkahre hums in agreement before the pair walk away.

Later on in the movie when Kahmunrah is in the same room as the gateway to the underworld, he talks about getting revenge on against a world that doubted him. He once again points out to want to get revenge on his dad, who appears on the wall of the structure of the Temple of the Sun. After Kahmunrah speaks, Merenkahre states how Kahmunrah embarrasses him.
