Pomona was a dryad who lived during the Golden Age of Narnia.
Described by High King Peter as the "greatest of the wood-people", Pomona came to Cair Paravel in the Narnian year 1013 to put good spells on the apple orchard that was planted on the outside of the castle's north gate. Lilygloves, the chief of the moles who helped the Four Monarchs plant the orchard, foretold that, one day, they would be glad of the orchard and of Pomona's blessings on it. True enough, when the Four Monarchs returned to Narnia in the Narnian year 2303 (more than a millennium later), the orchard had grown up and provided them with food - "large yellowish-golden apples as firm and juicy as one could wish to see".
