- "“She’d like us to believe it,” said Mr. Beaver, “and that’s how she is trying to call herself Queen. But she’s no Daughter of Eve. She comes from your father Adam’s first wife, Lilith. She was one of the Jinn. On the other side she comes from the giants. No, there isn’t a drop of real human blood in the Witch.”"
- ―Mr. Beaver[src]
The Jinn was a race descended from Adam's first wife, Lilith. Or at least that was what was believed in the Narnian universe. It is possible that that idea came from the Telmarine pirates who arrived in 460 and later dominated the country of Narnia under the Caspians.
The Jinn possessed innate magical abilities, sharp intellect, and extraordinary physical beauty. It is believed that they once inhabited the world of Charn along with a race of Giants. Over time, the two races interbred and sired a new hybrid race that dominated Charn. Jadis, the infamous White Witch who later enslaved Narnia for a full century, was probably descended from this hybrid race.
