Surging Storm (逆巻く嵐 Sakamaku Arashi)^[1] is a spell possessed by Shamal to generate a surging whirlwind near the feet in the portable continuity. Notably, she has never cast nor been described as capable of such attack in the primary continuity.

Notable uses

• It is Shamal's cross-range catch attack in The Battle of Aces and The Gears of Destiny. She first slaps the opponent and then generates a large surging whirlwind from her feet around herself, which is capable of blowing the opponent away to the long range.

Possible uses of the spell are noted as follows:

• Apparently, Shamal's unnamed cross-range finish B in The Battle of Aces and The Gears of Destiny is also Surging Storm. This attack generates a smaller surging whirlwind directly from/near the opponent's feet (i.e. isolated in a certain range) to attack and blow him/her up into the air.
