Zikwe is a big blue monster from Takalani Sesame, South Africa's Sesame Street co-production. He is a spirited taxi driver (though said vehicle has no wheels) and speaks English and a smattering of other languages.
Zikwe is the most well-traveled Muppet on Takalani Sesame, claiming to have traveled all the way from the pyramids in Egypt to the sands of Capetown's beaches. He is often seen relaxing and sleeping in his taxi. Zikwe tends to be impatient and often acts on impulse, but he is eager to help others (often less than successfully).
Notes
In the Nigerian co-production Sesame Square, Zikwe is renamed Zobi and retains the same personality as his South African counterpart.
